Do security films really prevent breaking and entering?

They can, but it is important to know this requires a thicker window film as well as an attachment system to increase its effectiveness. Security film involves a complete system to be effective. Will window film make my home too dark inside?

Not at all. Our 3M Thinsulate and Prestige spectral selective film series are virtually clear yet protect better than most dark standard window films. Many options are available from clear to darker reflective tinted films. Our residential specialist will help you find the perfect solutions for your home.

Can window film provide privacy? How does mirror or dark window film work?

Yes. We recommend a dark and/or reflective film. During daytime the dominant source of light is outside, so you will have good privacy. At nighttime, if there are bright lights on inside, people will be able to see in. If there are blinds in the space, closing them at night will eliminate someone from seeing inside. There are additional options providing privacy in any condition, your Metro Tint representative can provide you with a solution.
